DMA Firmware 75T vs 100T: Compatibility and Selection Guide
Choosing between a 75T and a 100T FPGA board starts with compatibility, not marketing labels. The board must be identified correctly, the expected configuration must match the firmware package, and the flashing workflow must support the file format you plan to use.
What the 75T and 100T labels mean
Both names refer to Xilinx Artix-7 capacity classes. They are not interchangeable targets: a bitstream built for one device family should never be flashed to another target without confirmation. Read the FPGA identity and IDCODE through JTAG before selecting a firmware.

- Confirm the FPGA identity and target family.
- Use the JTAG port for identification and configuration reads.
- Keep the data connection separate from the JTAG workflow.
- Verify the firmware file extension and target before programming.

Which target should you choose?
Choose the target reported by the hardware scan. Do not infer the target from the product name, the PCB colour or a reseller listing. When the scan is incomplete, stop and resolve the JTAG or driver issue first.
